ReelShort Customer Service: What It Can Fix, and What Only Apple or Google Can
If you want a charge stopped or refunded, ReelShort cannot do it — the store is the merchant of record. Here is the split, the official contact route from Apple's own listing, and the developer behind each of the six apps.

Most people searching for ReelShort’s customer service want one of three things: a charge reversed, a subscription stopped, or coins that went missing. ReelShort cannot do the first two. Not “will not” — cannot. Those powers sit with Apple or Google, and no amount of emailing the app will move them.
That is worth knowing before you spend a week in a support queue, so this page starts there and gets to the contact routes afterwards.
Which of your problems the app can actually solve
| What you want | Who can do it | Where to go |
|---|---|---|
| Stop a recurring charge | Apple or Google only | The Subscriptions list in the store you bought it from |
| Get money back | Apple or Google only | That store’s purchase-support channel, for the specific charge |
| Coins missing, unlocks not applying, account or playback problems | ReelShort | The support routes below |
| Content questions — a series pulled, a region block | ReelShort | The support routes below |
The split is not a policy ReelShort chose. When you subscribe through an app store, the store is the merchant of record: it takes the money, it holds the mandate, and it decides refunds. The developer is a supplier who never touched your card. This is the same for all six apps in this category.
So if your issue is billing, the fastest possible route is to skip the app entirely and go to the store. If your issue is anything else, the app is the only one who can help, and the store cannot.
Where ReelShort’s official contact points actually are
Apple publishes the developer behind every app, along with a support address it requires them to keep working. For ReelShort, read from Apple’s US listing on 25 August 2026:
- Developer of record: New Leaf Publishing, Inc.
- Support site: reelshort.com
That is the entity Apple holds responsible for the app, and the site Apple lists as its support destination. We are pointing you at the listing rather than at an inbox because email addresses and help-desk URLs change between releases, and Apple’s listing is the one place that has to stay current.
Two routes we are not going to give you, and why:
We are not printing a support email. We have not sent mail to one and watched it get answered, and an address that bounces is worse than no address — it costs you the days you spend waiting on it.
We are not describing the in-app help screen. We have not opened it. A menu path one release out of date walks somebody in a circle while their renewal date arrives.
The App Store listing’s own support link is the route that stays correct without us guessing, which is why it is the only one here.
If it is billing, here is the actual sequence
- Work out who charged you. Open Apple’s subscription list and Google Play’s. Whichever shows ReelShort is the one holding the mandate. If your email has ReelShort receipts, the sender tells you the same thing faster.
- Cancel there if you want it stopped. Our ReelShort cancellation guide has the menu paths for both stores.
- Ask that same store for the refund, about the individual charge rather than about the app in general. Apple has a purchase-support channel for this; Google Play has its own.
- Only then contact ReelShort, and only if something remains that the store cannot fix — coins you paid for that never arrived, for instance.
Doing it in the other order is the common mistake. Writing to the app first about a store charge costs you time and changes nothing, because the app has no button that reverses it.
We have not verified either store’s refund criteria and we are not going to predict your odds. Ask; the worst outcome is a no.
The five other apps, since people usually have more than one
The same split applies to every app in this category, and the developer names are worth seeing together because several are not what you would guess from the app name. All from Apple’s US listings, 25 August 2026:
| App | Developer of record | Support site Apple lists |
|---|---|---|
| ReelShort | New Leaf Publishing, Inc. | reelshort.com |
| DramaBox | STORYMATRIX PTE. LTD | dramabox.com |
| ShortMax | SHORTTV LIMITED | shorttv.live |
| GoodShort | SINGAPORE NEW READING TECHNOLOGY PTE. LTD. | m.goodshort.com |
| FlexTV | YUDER PTE. LTD. | flextv.cc |
| NetShort | NETSTORY PTE. LTD. | netshort.com |
ShortMax is the one to note: its support site is on a different domain from the app’s own name. If you have been searching for shortmax.com and finding nothing official, that is why.
Five of the six are Singapore-registered private limited companies; ReelShort’s is a US corporation. That tells you nothing about how they answer support, and we are not going to pretend otherwise — it is simply who Apple has on record.
What “customer service” cannot fix either
Some of the most common complaints are not faults, so no support desk will resolve them:
- An episode you were watching is now locked. That is the paywall, not a bug. ReelShort publishes the paywall position on every series page — one of only two platforms we track that publish it at all, the other being ShortMax: 108 of the 766 ReelShort series we track run free from first episode to last, and the other 658 open free before charging, with the wall falling between episodes 2 and 23.
- Coins vanishing faster than expected. Neither the coin cost of an episode nor the coin value of an ad appears anywhere in ReelShort’s listing. From 479 ReelShort reviews we collected on 25 August 2026, the reports put an episode at 45 to 58 coins — our extraction from user reports, not a figure ReelShort publishes, and only two reports deep.
- A series disappearing. Licences lapse. No support desk restores one.
For the first of those, our ReelShort catalogue prices each series using its real free-episode count rather than assuming you pay from episode one, which is usually a faster answer than asking anybody.
The short version
- Billing — cancel or refund — is Apple’s or Google’s, never the app’s. Go there first.
- Everything else is the app’s, and the store cannot help.
- ReelShort’s official support destination is the one on its App Store listing, kept current by Apple’s own requirement.
- Do not email the app about a store charge. It costs days and cannot work.
What this page cannot tell you
- We have not contacted any of these support desks, so we have no view on response times, tone, or whether a given route gets answered at all.
- Developer names and support links are Apple’s, read from its US listings on 25 August 2026. They change, and Apple’s listing is the current copy — not this page.
- Refund criteria are unverified. We have not tested either store’s process and are not estimating anyone’s chances.
- No in-app screens are described here, because we have not opened them.
